ASH Evaluation Project Consults Widely With Clients Across Province

Valerie Johnston of the Addiction Supportive Housing (ASH) Evaluation presented an overview of the project to the Persons with Lived Experience and Family Member Advisory Panel on December 13, 2012. View the slides here.

In November, the ASH Evaluation team, led by David Kelly (pictured left at the fall DTFP KE event), completed a ‘snapshot’ of ASH programs in Ontario, and found that there is considerable variation in ASH programs across the province.

Nine client focus groups were conducted between July and October 2012. The focus groups were designed to understand how involvement with ASH programs is helping people to achieve their goals, whether clients feel that some approaches are more helpful than others, and what changes they would like to see in the way ASH services are offered.

A program evaluation is underway, promising practices will be developed, and a costing analysis will be carried out in the New Year.
