Development site visits are underway

The project team has begun development site visits in 14 sites across Ontario. Their first visit was to Dilico Anishinabek Family Care on Fort William First Nation, outside of Thunder Bay (pictured above is Dilicos Residential Treatment Centre on the shores of Lake Superior).

The development site visits will take place over the next few months. The goal of the visits is to gather information to begin developing the content of the screening and assessment tools.

This is a unique project designed by and for First Nations and Inuit communities. The objective of this project is to develop screening and assessment tools that are grounded in culturally relevant practices rather than an adaptation of existing mainstream tools.
