New toolkits for people impacted by suicide

Tailored for suicide attempt and suicide loss

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) has released two new online toolkits for people who have been impacted by suicide.

One toolkit is tailored for people who have attempted suicide, and the other is focused on resources for people who have lost someone to suicide.

Created in partnership with the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention, the Centre for Suicide Prevention, the Public Health Agency of Canada and an Advisory Committee comprised of people with lived experience related to suicide.

In the summer of 2017 the MHCC conducted an online survey to elicit feedback from people who have been impacted by suicide. The survey, which garnered responses from over one thousand people, helped us gain an understanding of helpful topics, content areas, resources, and information to include in the toolkits.

Access and share the toolkits with others. #sharehope today!
