Strengthening treatment systems in Manitoba (Manitoba)

Project description/objectives

This project aims to achieve the following goals:

  • Central intake: Standardize and centralize the intake process. The central intake process brings a common process to agencies across the system. Elements include a decision tree that maps screening questions to agency admission criteria. Clients can access the screen through a provincial toll-free addictions line or through individual agencies. This web-based screening process provides consistent and accurate information about admission criteria and treatment options, and indicates space availability.
  • Evidence-informed practice & knowledge exchange: Create mechanisms to support evidence-informed practice and knowledge exchange.
  • Performance measurement and evaluation: Create a common follow up and evaluation process to measure client experience and outcomes.
