The top two evidence needs within this theme prioritized by Sharing Together stakeholders are:
- Effective harm reduction approaches for harmful behaviours, substance use, and various types of addictions
- How to reduce stigma and increase awareness of harm reduction

- Algonquin College Umbrella Project - training, workshops, education, awareness, and support services for students and staff on harm reduction approaches with alcohol and other drugs.
- Developing Canada’s First National Low-Risk Gambling Guidelines, from the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction
- Canada's Lower-Risk Cannabis Use Guidelines,from the Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Misuse and CAMH.
